I am so very THANKFUL for my kiddos!!

These Kiddos had so much fun making Indian hats and necklaces.  I think it is so important to make learning FUN!!!  I am BLESSED to do what I <3!!

We have been busy studying and discussing the First Thanksgiving.  We have learned many new things about Native Americans and the Pilgrims.  

We will be celebrating on Friday, November 20th with our annual Thanksgiving Feast.  The kiddos parents are coming to eat with them, they are so excited!!  No doubt, memories will be made :).

Today we had Ms. Lorie Caudell come and read to our class!  The kiddos loves it and enjoyed the books she chose!  Thank you Ms. Lorie!

A Special Day

What an amazing day!  My sweet Granddaughter, Katie-Beth's dedication service was today.  These are pictures of my amazing family.  The second picture is me and my oldest daughter, Haley and sweet Katie-Beth.  I am so in LOVE!!!

We had a great day!  The weather was beautiful and all of the kiddos had a wonderful day picking their pumpkin and playing.  A great big "Thank You" to all of my parents that volunteered and went with us and helped out.  It was a successful day!

Day 7

Kinder Day 7

  We are beginning to get the hang of all of the rules and procedures in Kindergarten!  There is so much to learn!  My kiddos are working so hard and I am so proud of them!  The transition from Pre-K to Kindergarten is tough on little ones.  

Day 3...ALL of my Kinders came today, all 19 of them!!!

Today was the first day with all of my kinders!  It was a great day but boy am I tired!!  I forget each year how the simplest things are NOT simple with 5 year olds.  Rules and procedures, over and over and over!!  And then we do rules and procedures some more :).  We will get there and I will forget how hard it is at the beginning!  I think that is a gift we kindergarten teachers are blessed with.

Anyhoo, LOVE my job and LOVE my kinders!!

Open House

Open House was a huge success!!  All of my kinders came and I am so excited about our year together.  As of now, I have 18 students.  9 precious little girls and 9 super cute little boys.  We are going to have so much fun learning together.  I am so blessed to <3 my job! Monday, August 17th is the first day of school.  The tardy bell rings at 8 am. I can't wait to post pics of our new kinder family!!! 

It's Vacation Time

Yay!!  We leave on vacation Wednesday morning!  I really don't like going on vacay this late in the summer BUT my daughter is a varsity cheerleader and this is the only time we could work around her practices.  Anyhoo, We are excited!  Spending a few days with family in Houston and then Bon Voyage, we are cruising away for a relaxing, fun filled, no thinking about school (YEAH RIGHT!) with Carnival.

On the flip side, I HAVE NOT done anything in my classroom.  So, when we get back on August 1st, I will be working like a mad woman to get everything ready.  It would be so simple IF I did not like everything done as close to perfection as possible.  I will meet my new kinders on August 11th, I can't wait.  We do not have our class lists yet so I have no idea who my sweet ones will be.  I do know they will be exactly who God wants me to teach/love/take care of until May next year!

How can it already be July the 9th??

Summer is flying by...which makes me sad!  Although, I love my job and my kinder kiddos, I enjoy my summer with my family.  We stay up late and sleep in and just do whatever we want!!  Oh well, it is what it is...I WILL enjoy my last few weeks off!
